Thyme Sauteed Parsnips Perfect for a Quick Side Dish

This is a side dish that serves 3


Ingredients:


  • 1/2 tbs of butter

  • 2 small shallots

  • 6 baby parsnips

  • 1 small sprig of thyme

  • Salt and pepper to season


Method:


  1. Chop up the shallots and parsnips into quarters longways.

  2. Melt the butter in a pan on medium heat.

  3. Once melted, add the onion and sweat it until it's translucent.

  4. Now add the parsnips, thyme, and salt.

  5. Lower the heat and leave it to cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  6. Once the parsnips are soft and slightly caramelized, they are ready to be served
